Joining Hobart City Band

Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone with basic playing proficiency in relevant instruments. Less experienced players are encouraged to join the Development Band. There is a maximum age limit of 19 years for the competing Junior Concert Band.

Before joining, prospective members are invited to attend a couple of rehearsals as a "taster" to enable them to find the band most appropriate to their playing proficiency and to see if they like it.

What does it cost?

Annual Membership Fee:

Wind Symphony, Brass and/or Swing Bands: $60

Junior Concert, Junior Brass and/or Development Bands: $30

Junior Concert, Junior Brass and/or Development Band plus senior bands: $60

Associate Membership (non-playing members): $30
