About the Swing Band

The Hobart City Swing Band comprises high-quality musicians from the Hobart area interested in big band performance.

The Band performs both classic swing music and more recent compositions, especially those of Gordon Goodwin. The Band also features vocalist Eleanor Raine. Eleanor sings classic swing era tunes as well as her own transcriptions.

The Band often plays at TasSwing Balls run in Hobart by the Swing Dance Society.

Entry to the band is by application or invitation as the group runs to traditional big band size.
