How Membership Works
Playing membership is open to anyone with basic playing proficiency in relevant instruments. Before joining, prospective members are invited to attend a couple of rehearsals as a “taster” to see if they like it and to enable them to find the band most appropriate to their playing proficiency. There is a maximum age limit of 19 years for the competing Youth Winds (Junior Concert Band) and Junior Brass Band.

To get started with the application process, choose the band and membership type, below. You will not be asked to pay for anything until you have been invited to a ‘tester’ rehearsal, after which, you will be provided the final steps to get started and, upon approval, will be sent a formal invitation to join.
